If you’re a peanut butter chocolate fan (like me!) this will become one of your favorites!
Ingredients needed
- Honey graham crackers: For the cookie base
- Butter: I use unsated butter. You will use butter for the cookie base and for the filling.
- Peanut butter: You will use this for the cookie base as well as the swirls. I use creamy unsalted peanut butter.
- Chocolate
- Heavy whipping cream
Making the peanut butter chocolate bars
- Make the crust: Combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter and peanut butter in a bowl. Press firmly onto 8×8 baking pan lined with parchment paper. Freeze until firm.
- Make the filling: Heat heavy whipping cream on medium heat until almost boiling. Turn the heat to low then add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Add the butter and stir until smooth. Cool, so the filling is not hot. Then pour over crust.
- Swirl. Heat peanut butter until it’s slightly runny. Place dollops of peanut butter onto chocolate. Then swirl with toothpick.
- Refrigerate. Place in the refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Tips for success
- Line your pan. Line your pan with parchment paper so that it is extended over the edge. Lining your pan will help you be able to easily remove the bars once they are chilled and ready to be cut.
- Press crust firmly. You want to press the crust firmly onto the pan so it doesn’t crumble once you cut it.
- Warm up the peanut butter. Warming up the peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds helps the peanut butter soften even more, making it a little runny. This helps when swirling the peanut butter and gives you those gorgeous swirls.
ENJOY these no bake peanut butter chocolate bars!
