Don’t you love dinners that take 10 minutes to prep? I have to say they’re the best! This lemon garlic and butter salmon is so quick to make and is so flavorful. This quick baked salmon recipe will easily become a family favorite. And yours as well.
Ingredients needed
- Lemon
- Butter
- Garlic
- Salt, pepper
- Salmon
Making the Salmon
- Preheat oven.
- Prepare baking sheet. Line baking pan with foil. Place salmon on foil.
- Make your topping. Melt the butter and stir in garlic. Set aside. Squeeze half of a lemon onto the salmon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Pour butter/garlic over salmon.
- Cover with foil. Cover salmon with another piece of foil. Seal all the sides to create a packet.
- Bake. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until salmon is done.
Optional: After you sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper you can sprinkle with red pepper flakes or your favorite herb. It adds variety without changing lots of ingredients.
A note on the foil: I prefer to lay a piece of foil down, place the salmon and then cover and seal with another piece of foil. I found that it’s easier to cover the salmon and easier to work with. However, you can use a large piece of foil and then fold over and cover the salmon.

- about 1 – 1.5 lbs. of salmon fillet
- ½ lemon, juice only
- 2 – 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes, optional
- Optional – an herb of your choice
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 375 F. Line baking pan with foil. Place salmon on foil.
- Melt the butter and then stir in garlic. Set aside.
- Squeeze half of a lemon onto the salmon. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. If using sprinkle with red pepper flakes and an herb of your choice. Pour butter/garlic over salmon.
- Cover salmon with another piece of foil. Seal all the sides to create a packet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until salmon is done.
